About this product
Banana chips: round and oval slices of dried banana, pale cream close to white, with the small ring in the centre that gives away a banana slice. The surface is matte and dry, the slices light in the hand, some thin and some a little thicker, and they pile up in the bowl like coins.
Taste
The banana flavour stays but softer, with a gentle sweetness that varies from slice to slice depending on how ripe the banana was. They are called chips for a reason: they snap rather than chew.
How to enjoy it
They go in school lunch boxes, get crumbled over oats and milk in the morning, and travel well with nuts in a snack bag. Crushed over yoghurt or ice cream they stand in for biscuits, and they win over kids who won't eat a plain banana.
How to store it
Close the pack well after every use; the chips pull in moisture fast and go soft, and a few minutes in a gentle oven brings the snap back; let them cool before closing the pack.
