About this product
Goji berries: small and elongated, about the size of a large grain of rice, strong red leaning orange, some darker and some lighter, wrinkled from drying. They stay loose rather than clumping, and a bowl of them glows like embers. Their size makes them easy to sprinkle over anything.
Taste
Somewhere between sweet and tart, with a faint herbal bitterness at the end, and a texture between raisin and dried cranberry. A few minutes in water makes them softer, close to a soaked raisin.
How to enjoy it
Sprinkle them on oats or yoghurt, mix them with raw nuts, or soak them in water or blend them into a morning juice. They also go into cakes and biscuits the way raisins do, and brighten a dried-fruit plate next to apricots.
How to store it
A sealed jar somewhere cool and dark keeps the colour and softness; if the berries start sticking together, separate them by hand and let them air briefly before closing the jar.
