About this product
Wasabi peanuts: peanuts in a pale coat leaning yellow-green, dusted with small green flecks. The pieces are rounded and slightly long, and a few broken ones show the pale peanut inside. The colour is far calmer than orange kri-kri.
Taste
Wasabi heat is not chilli heat. It skips the tongue, shoots up the nose and fades, and then the peanut comes through. First time? Start with a single piece and wait a moment before the next.
How to enjoy it
Cold drinks suit it, it turns into a dare among friends over who can eat the most, and sometimes shares a bowl with kri-kri. It is the snack that gets a laugh when someone takes a whole handful at once.
How to store it
Keep it as airtight as you can and out of the sun; the wasabi fades in open air and the coat goes soft.
