About this product
Salted pistachios in their shells. The shells are pale beige with a hint of pink, under a matte white film like powder that gives the whole bowl its light look. Most are split at the tip, showing the kernel in its thin red skin, and the nuts are broad, plump and fairly even.
Taste
Put one in your mouth and the salt on the shell reaches you before the nut, then the rich pistachio follows. Plenty of people suck the shell for a moment before dropping it, because that is where the salt sits.
How to enjoy it
Salted pistachios call for something to drink alongside, tea or something cold, and they suit evenings, match nights and balcony sitting. For a two-tone bowl, set them beside the brown roasted pistachios in shell.
How to store it
Keep it in a closed tin somewhere dry; the salt on the shells draws moisture from the air and turns them soft and tacky, and a few minutes in a low oven dries them out again.
